Meme coin trading platforms: what a $100 and a $1,000 trade cost

Meme coin trading on the 9 terminals, bots and apps compared here costs $5.00 to $10.00 in platform fees on a $1,000 buy, per each platform's own fee documents, checked by 1 Oct 2026. Network fees come on top, and a referral code can lower the platform fee.

Fee and wallet facts were checked from 10 Sep 2026 to 1 Oct 2026 against each platform's documentation. Costs are computed from those rules when the page is built.

Not in the table: BullX, where the app showed trading as disabled on 2026-10-01 (withdrawals still worked).

Reference trade: a market buy on Solana by a new account with no referral, volume tier or rank. Costs show the platform fee only. Solana adds a base fee of 5,000 lamports per signature and an optional priority fee (Solana docs). FOMO pays Solana network and priority fees for its users, per its help centre. A row with "See profile" has a fee rule that changed since this guide was written.

What the cost table shows

On a $1,000 market buy on Solana, the platform fee runs from $5.00 on LAB Terminal and FOMO to $10.00 on the 7 platforms that charge a flat 1% (Axiom, Banana Gun, Bloom, GMGN, Maestro, Photon and Trojan). On a $100 buy, it runs from $0.50 on LAB Terminal to $1.00 on the same 1% platforms.

FOMO prices Solana orders by size. A $100 buy pays a flat $0.95, which is 0.95% of the trade, and a $1,000 buy pays 0.5%. For small trades, the per-trade rate on FOMO is higher than its headline rate.

The table shows the rate a new account pays. On 5 platforms, the rate can change. On Axiom, volume tiers pay cashback: the net fee falls from 0.95% to 0.75% at the top tier. On Banana Gun, manual buys and limit orders on Ethereum cost 0.5%. On Bloom, a sign-up through any referral pays 0.9% (10% off). On Maestro, volume tiers pay 15% to 30% of the fee back as a rebate. On Trojan, rank cashback in Trojan Arena pays 10% to 35% of the fee back.

With a referral code, FOMO (10% off, per its own documentation) brings a $1,000 buy to $4.50, Axiom (10% off, per its own documentation) brings a $1,000 buy to $9.00 and GMGN (30% off, per an offer supplied to MemeFees) brings a $1,000 buy to $7.00. A code cuts only the platform fee, never the network fee, and it does not change the order of the table.

On LAB Terminal, FOMO, Axiom and Trojan, the docs let you show or export the wallet key or phrase later. On Banana Gun, Bloom, Maestro and Photon, the docs show the key once, when the wallet is made, so you must save it then. GMGN does not let you export the private key.

Trade on the launchpad itself vs a terminal

A launchpad such as pump.fun sells a new token on its own site, on a bonding curve. A terminal, bot or app is a second interface: it sends your order to the same curve or pool. The launchpad's fee applies either way, and the terminal adds its own fee per trade.

Fees stack. A $1,000 buy of a token on the pump.fun curve pays pump.fun's 1.25%, or $12.50. Sent through a 1% terminal such as Axiom, the same buy pays $22.50 before network fees.

What the extra fee buys: one-click buys and sells, sniping, limit orders, wallet tracking and, on some platforms, copy trading across several chains. Each terminal profile lists its features from its docs. If you only buy a few tokens by hand, the launchpad's own site costs less per trade.

How to choose a meme coin trading platform

  1. Check the chain. The token must trade on a chain that the platform supports. The Chains column lists them from each platform's docs.
  2. Price your usual trade size. A flat fee per order changes the rate on small trades. On FOMO, Solana orders from 47.50 to 190 USDC pay a flat 0.95 USDC (FOMO help).
  3. Decide how you want to hold the wallet. Some platforms let you export the key or recovery phrase at any time. Others show the key once, and GMGN does not let you export it. If you cannot export the key, you depend on the platform to move your funds.
  4. Read the referral terms before you sign up. Some discounts only apply when you join through the link, and some programs pay only the referrer.
  5. Add the network fee. The platform fee is separate from the chain's own fee, which can include an optional priority fee.

Risks of meme coin trading

The memecoin success rate page shows the share of graduated tokens that still trade at or above their graduation value 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days later, measured by MemeFees.

Every trade pays the fee twice: once to buy and once to sell. At 1% per side, the price must rise 2.02% before a $1,000 position breaks even; at 0.5%, it must rise 1.01%. Network fees come on top.

Buyers have little legal protection. In February 2025, the staff of the US SEC said that the meme coins it described are not securities, and that "neither meme coin purchasers nor holders are protected by the federal securities laws" (SEC staff statement).

A trading wallet is a hot wallet. If a key is shown only once and you do not save it, you cannot restore the wallet later. Keep only the money you trade with on a platform, and never share a private key or recovery phrase.

Automation acts fast. Sniping, copy trading and one-click buys can spend your balance before you check a token. Test a new tool with a small amount first.

This guide compares costs and wallet rules. It is not investment advice, and it does not say which token or platform to buy.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best meme coin trading platform?

No platform is best for every trader. On fees alone, LAB Terminal and FOMO charge the least on a $1,000 Solana buy: $5.00, against $10.00 on Axiom, Banana Gun, Bloom, GMGN, Maestro, Photon and Trojan, per the fee rules we checked on 1 Oct 2026. Also compare the chains you need and whether you can export your wallet key.

Which memecoin trading platform has the lowest fees?

For a $1,000 buy on Solana, LAB Terminal and FOMO, at $5.00. For a $100 buy, LAB Terminal, at $0.50. Network fees and referral discounts are not in these figures.

What is the best meme coin trading platform on Solana?

All 9 platforms in the table trade on Solana: LAB Terminal, FOMO, Axiom, Banana Gun, Bloom, GMGN, Maestro, Photon and Trojan. They differ on fees, extra chains and wallet custody, so the table above sorts them by the cost of a $1,000 buy.

Are meme coin trading platforms legit?

The platforms in this guide publish their fees and wallet rules in public documents, and we link each one. A published fee does not make a platform safe. Only LAB Terminal, FOMO, Axiom and Trojan let you export your wallet key or phrase later. We did not audit any platform's code or security.

Is memecoin trading legit?

Memecoin trading carries a high risk of loss. In February 2025, the staff of the US SEC said that the meme coins it described are not securities, and that buyers and holders are not protected by the federal securities laws. Our survival data shows how many graduated tokens keep their graduation value after 1 hour, 24 hours and 7 days.

Do referral codes lower memecoin trading fees?

Some do. FOMO (code VIP10): 10% off the platform fee, per FOMO's docs. Axiom (link @connect): 10% off the platform fee, per Axiom's docs. GMGN (code COINTELLUS): 30% off the platform fee, an offer supplied to MemeFees. Photon (link @wizz): no confirmed benefit for the invited user. A code changes only the platform fee, never the network fee.

Is it cheaper to trade on the launchpad or on a terminal?

On the launchpad's own site you pay the launchpad's trading fee. A terminal sends your order to the same curve or pool, so the launchpad fee still applies and the terminal adds its own fee. In return, terminals add tools such as sniping, limit orders and wallet tracking.
